LUP-jatuh cinta, single review

berbekal semangat sebagai salah satu band finalis ajang adu bakat Dream band, LUP sebenarnya berangkat dengan cita-cita sederhana yang untuk sebagian band luar Jawa menjadi 'mission impossible'.

LUP, band yang sebenarnya lagi adalah kumpulan rocker muda usia dari Makassar, pun hampir termakan dengan kondisi sakit 'musik indoensia'.

Nah, bermain aman menjadi bekal mereka, karena sebenarnya dengan formasi yang 'hebat' ini, LUP band sebenarnya mampu menyuguhkan musik yang lebih 'berkelas' dan lebih 'berat'.

'Jatuh Cinta" adalah debut single mereka yang diramu dengan bantuan kang Noey dan bang Iwan Iskandar dari HAI, buat saya ok-ok saja, ringan, dengan hook-hook yang sebenarnya sederhana namun dibuat 'sedikit' berkompromi dengan selera masyarakat.

Buat saya lagi, yang notabene teman dekat mereka, single ini bolehlah jadi awal untuk 'coba' menembus industri musik Indonesia, yah itu tadi, ringan, dan cukup padat.

Kenapa saya memakai kata 'cukup' padat? karena ada beberapa bagian yang gantung, endingnya kurang enak menurut saya,...cuman kembali lagi, lagunya cukup enak koq, untuk dinikmati, apalagi yang sedang jatuh cinta.

Nah, siap atau tidak, saya merekomendasikan single ini, untuk industri musik indonesia,...

setelah single 'tell me it's not over', Starsailor merilis 'all the plans' sebagai single ke 2 mereka dari album All The Plans juga.

dibanding 'tell me it's not over', single ke 2 ini lebih mewakili Starsailor yang banyak kita kenal di era album 'Silence is Easy' tahun 2003 silam, karena entah kenapa, kebanyakan band-band sejenis mereka lebih banyak dikenang lewat aransemen semacam ini (jadi ingat karena saya lebih suka mendengarkan 'silence is easy' dari pada 'music was saved')

O ya, kabarnya, single 'All the Plans ' ini juga turut 'diisi' oleh Ronnie Wood lho...makanya kalo sempat didengar, gaya & pemilihan sound gitar nan kasar ala Wood jelas sekali di lagu yang asik ini.

Gary Go (lahir dengan nama Gary Baker) pertama kali merintis karir internasional lewat E.P "So So" di tahun 2007.
Setelah itu, Gary Go berhasil mencuri perhatian saat mengumumkan rencana manjadi opening act bagi Take That untuk world tour "The Circus", menyusul keikutsertaan nya untuk tour promo Lady GaGa yang akan keliling Eropa mulai July nanti.

On August 25th Columbia Records will release Mew’s fourth studio album titled:

No more stories… was recorded during the summer of 2008 in Brooklyn , NY with renowned producer Rich Costey (Muse, Glasvegas, NIN).

The band spent the last year between Brooklyn and Copenhagen perfecting the albums new up-beat and lighter aura, as well as, creating animation for their upcoming live performances.

The band is also filming a cinematic series of 3 videos with award winning director, Martin de Thurah, who is known for his work with Fever Ray, Glasvegas, and Royskopp.
